Laboratory scale test methods and quality evaluation facilities for spices and spice based
conventional and specialty products.
Well-equipped pilot scale facilities for primary and secondary processing of spices special
reference to spice oils and oleoresin and also fabrication of equipment in collaboration
with Food Engineering Department.
The department offers a variety of technologies in Post – harvest handling and processing of
Major, minor and leaf spices. More than 50 products have been developed, most of which have
